Artist Statement
I am inspired by the beauty of nature that surrounds us. I feel as if I have this gift, something like a 6th sense, with nature. It draws me in and lures me into the landscape, placing me at the right place at the right time. I love the outdoors and exploring something I have never seen before. Getting to a location and having a vision of that perfect shot is what drives me. To figure out the perfect composition, lighting, time of year, angle of the sun, milky way, moon, and factoring in weather for a specific location and bringing it to life is my passion. It allows me to become in tune with nature, to become one with the subject that I am photographing. Being able to understand all of these factors and bring these visions to life is my greatest high. There is no greater high than being in the right place at the right time. It is what I strive for in every shot that I take. To not only capture that moment but to capture the feeling it gave me. To capture it in a way that it provokes the same feeling in you.
